Diabetic Retinopathy Screening in Europe Meeting: TAKING THE NEXT STEPS IN SCREENING
National Representatives Meeting hosted by Belfast
Conference organising committee:
Friday, 22nd October 2021
Tunde Peto, Caroline Styles, Katie Curran
In October 2021 the 5th Diabetic Retinopathy Screening in Europe meeting was held virtually due to the travel restrictions in place following the Covid 19 pandemic.
The aims of the meeting were to bring together those passionate about, and interested in, diabetic retinopathy screening in Europe. To raise awareness of the 2020 WHO publication related to diabetic retinopathy screening. To identify what the next steps are for providing diabetic retinopathy screening.
The publication formed the basis of our discussions at the 2021 Belfast meeting and can be freely downloaded from https://www.euro.who.int/en/publications/abstracts/diabetic-retinopathy-screening-a-short-guide-2020
